I took inspiration from Gillian Wearing’s “Signs that Say What You Want Them To Say and Not Signs that Say What Someone Else Wants You To Say” in which she asked strangers to write down what was on their mind. I stopped students on campus and asked them to write down “whatever was on their mind.” City College of New York Campus.
